For Dog or Cat?

This is a project I recently created as part of my work as a children’s librarian! It’s a simple card game designed to go along with a preschool story time program about pets. The game has just two categories, Cat and Dog, and children use context clues (with little hints!) to decide where each item belongs.

Activities like this are versatile—they can be used in many different settings, not just story time. In fact, similar tools are often used in ABA therapy with children on the autism spectrum to support errorless learning, which helps build confidence, independence, and early literacy skills.

I love how adaptable learning activities like this can be, whether in the library, at home, or in a therapeutic setting. They open doors for kids to learn while having fun.
